Amos Ndhere, MD, MS
Dr. Amos Ndhere is a medical professional and clinical investigator passionate about improving healthcare outcomes in underserved communities. Born and raised in Western Kenya, he experienced firsthand the impact of infectious diseases such as malaria on the local population. This early exposure inspired him to pursue a career in medicine, and he went on to earn his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Moi University, a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation, and a Fellowship at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, Chicago, USA.
After completing medical school, Amos worked as a medical officer in public hospitals in South-West Kenya, serving the nomadic Maasai population at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro. During this time, he witnessed the challenges faced in public health, including reliable vaccine, drug, and diagnostics supplies to rural populations. He learned the benefits of developing health solutions and medical countermeasures that are tailored to the local environment for sustainable and meaningful impact.
